“You are strangers no longer…you are members of the household of God… built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”

— Ephesians 2:19-22

Our mission

The Gospel of Life Disciples are a Catholic ecclesial family of consecrated and lay persons committed to Jesus as our Way, Truth, and Life. We seek holiness in daily life and strive to live the Gospel, according to the spirit of St. Francis, in a spirituality of communion. We live the corporal and spiritual works of mercy by accompanying frail elders with life-affirming care, free of charge for the glory of God and the salvation of souls. All Gospel of Life Dwellings are under the patronage of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. John Paul II. The Gospel of Life Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Disciples

By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another. — John 13:35

We are a community of disciples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As Gospel of Life Disciples we are committed to a consistent ethic of life, as proclaimed by Christ and His Church, from conception until natural death. We value each and every person. We care in a special way for our elder brothers and sisters, rich in years and experience, and especially deserving of our love and respect. Each person participates in making the house a home and contributes according to one’s possibilities.

Our live-in volunteers are LifeGuards who dedicate themselves to living the joy of the Gospel through a ministry of compassionate presence and humble service. We are a community of prayer, beginning and ending each day in the presence of our Eucharistic Lord and striving to live contemplatively as missionary disciples.

To nurture an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, each LifeGuard seeks growth in the Holy Spirit and receives personal formation based on the life and legacy of St. Francis of Assisi. Our goal is to grow in holiness through a spirituality of communion, fostering fellowship and fun while developing a lifetime of discipleship.

Dwellings

You are strangers no longer…you are members of the household of God… built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. — Eph. 2:19-22

As Gospel of Life Disciples, we live together in family homes called Gospel of Life Dwellings (GOLD). We welcome elders who would otherwise be alone and accompany them on the journey toward Eternal Life. We are attentive to spiritual, emotional and physical needs. Our Dwellings are often located near parishes with schools, allowing intergenerational encounters and full participation in parish life.

School

As you consider your life, its purpose and how you can best respond to God’s unique call for you, the Gospel of Life School (GOLS) is a place to explore what it means to be a missionary disciple. With a regular commitment to personal prayer and participation in the liturgical life of the Church, with opportunities for educational experiences and faithful spiritual guides, with shared life in community with others who are exploring like you, and with service to God by accompanying frail elders with life-affirming care, the Lord gives you the space and the place to help discover his plan. It can be life-changing and provide freedom to be yourself in the Lord!

Development

Pray. Serve. Give. We welcome your assistance through prayer, service and donations. Your prayer, united with ours, builds a culture of life and a civilization of love. Prayer sustains all that we are and do. We gratefully pray for you also. Your service can take many forms. Give us an hour, a day, or the rest of your life, and let God form you into the disciple He wants you to be. Donations to our 501(c)3 are our sole source of support as we follow the path of Gospel simplicity, solidarity and stewardship. Help feed, shelter and care for those in need by living and sharing the Gospel of Life!
