The Gospel of Life School
Dedicate yourself to discipleship.
As Missionary Disciples, we strive to imitate Jesus Christ in our lives and ministry. Living together as a family, we care for the dying in need. We journey together as brothers and sisters in Christ living a structured life by our four pillars, prayer, formation, community, and service.
The Four Pillars
-
We strive to pray together, in union with the Church, in all that we do. We attend Mass daily, pray the Liturgy of the Hours, pray the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. We spend time daily before the Blessed Sacrament and join in regular prayer as a community together. As a Gospel of Life School (GOLS) missionary disciple, you will have the opportunity to delve more deeply into a life of prayer, building healthy habits and a relationship with Christ that can last a lifetime.
-
With GOLS there are multiple opportunities to learn and be formed by faithful, wise Catholics. We have spiritual guides to accompany us on our journey. We have engaging and practical topics to assist each one of us on the path of discernment. Some of the topics for formation include: Prayer, Scripture, Sacraments, Discipleship, the Culture of Life, the Spirituality of St. Francis, the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, accompaniment at the end of life. As a GOLS Disciple, you will discover the rich, ancient traditions of our Catholic faith and you will learn how to incorporate this into your life.
-
We live simply, in the spirit of St. Francis, near an established Gospel of Life Dwelling, a small Christian community of disciples who live as a family with our brothers and sisters nearing the end of this life's journey. We care for them and for each other, sharing prayer, meals and time together. As a GOLS Disciple, you will have the opportunity to build deep, lasting Christian friendships through a spirituality of communion, fostering fellowship and fun while developing a lifetime of discipleship.
-
In the Gospel of Life Dwellings, we live as a family and assist with the activities of daily living for our brothers and sisters who are dying. It is a ministry of compassionate presence and humble service using each ones unique talents to cultivate a culture of Life by, doing “small things with great love.” (St. Teresa of Kolkata)
